Ingredients
  

  • - 6 cups day-old bread cubed
  • - 3 medium Granny Smith apples peeled and chopped
  • - 4 large eggs
  • - 2 cups whole milk
  • - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • - 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • - 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • - 1/4 tsp salt
  • - 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Add bread cubes and chopped apples to the custard mixture, gently tossing to coat evenly.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and let sit for 15 minutes.
  • Drizzle melted butter over the top of the pudding.
  • Bake for 45-55 minutes, until golden brown and set in the center.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

- For best results, use a crusty bread like French bread or sourdough.
- The pudding can be prepared the night before and baked in the morning.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for an extra special treat.
