Pumpkin Spice Donuts

Indulge in the flavors of fall with these soft, spiced pumpkin donuts. Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or an afternoon snack with coffee.

Ingredients
  

  • - 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • - 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • - 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • - 3/4 tsp salt
  • - 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • - 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • - 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • - 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • - 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • - 2 large eggs
  • - 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • - 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • - 1/2 cup milk
  • For cinnamon sugar coating:
  • - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • - 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • - 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
  • In another bowl, mix oil, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, pumpkin puree, and milk until well combined.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Transfer the batter to a piping bag or use a spoon to fill each donut cavity about 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon for coating. Brush each donut with melted butter and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Notes

- For best results, don't overmix the batter.
- These donuts are best enjoyed the day they're made but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
